Chatbot Recruiting

Use of dialog-based AI systems in hiring, for example to answer candidate questions or run first-stage screenings.

Chatbot recruiting describes the use of dialog-based AI systems in hiring. On career sites, chatbots answer questions about open roles, guide candidates through application forms or run first-stage screenings. They are now standard in large enterprises; mid-sized companies and the social sector adopt them more slowly.

Benefits are 24/7 availability, fast answers to standard questions and relief for recruiters. Candidates benefit too – when the bots are well maintained. Problems arise when chatbots answer routine questions well but fail on individual topics or feel unfriendly.

More critical is their use in evaluation. AI-driven pre-interviews, automated voice or sentiment analysis and "personality tests" based on chat answers raise data-protection concerns in Germany. Where chatbots prepare selection decisions, GDPR applies, including the right to human review.

Lunigi does not deploy chatbots against candidates – the magic runs invisibly in the background: curated job emails, feedback by reply.
