An applicant tracking system (ATS) is software that lets companies manage the entire hiring process: creating and distributing job postings across channels, sorting incoming applications, parsing CVs, recording assessments, coordinating interviews and documenting decisions.
Well-known systems include Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Personio, Greenhouse, Lever and rexx systems. Many large employers, almost all federal authorities and numerous NGOs run an ATS – although acceptance in the social sector is sometimes lower and processes more traditional.
For candidates, the ATS is the first filter in the process. Submitting an ATS-optimised CV, picking up the language of the posting and using clean layouts noticeably improves the chances of passing automated screens. Personal data and privacy also matter – ATS must be operated in line with GDPR.
Lunigi does not replace an ATS but follows a different logic: instead of candidates chasing roles, curated roles actively land in their inbox.
