AI Safety of Jobs

Assessment of how strongly a profession is likely to be affected by AI-driven automation in the coming years.

The "AI safety" of a job describes how strongly it is likely to be affected by AI-driven automation in the coming years. High automation potential typically applies to roles with clearly rule-based tasks, much routine, written data processing and a low interpersonal share. Hard to automate are complex social professions, physical work under changing conditions, advisory work with high emotional content and top-tier creative work.

Studies such as those by the German ZEW (Centre for European Economic Research) and reports from the OECD and IAB provide empirical evidence of particularly endangered and particularly safe occupational groups. Importantly: complete disappearance of a job is rare; more often the mix of tasks within a role shifts.

Candidates do well to regularly assess which parts of their job are particularly automatable and how they could shift their focus – for example towards advisory work, leadership, complexity management or specialised subject areas.

Lunigi consistently focuses on AI-safe roles and transparently rates each offer.
